So happy to see y'all on here! We've preordered three copies of Jon's book and can't wait to read it - and loan it to any friends and family who will take it! :)
We have tickets to the festival but I think my 20-month old is a little too young to participate! Please feel free to give our tickets to a family in need!
Hello! Lisa here from Florida. I have a question about landlines and thought this community might be able to help. Does anyone use a landline these days? Looking for additional ways like this to use cell phones less, and to have at home for kids for safety etc :) any thoughts would be appreciated!!
Hello Lisa, I just noticed your comment and thought I’d reply in case you haven’t gotten any info yet. Yes, landlines are still available and I think having one is a great option! We’re in Iowa and our local internet providers offer them. My Dad still has the same number from my childhood.
I also like the idea of a landline bc 911 can track the call directly to your address, whereas a cellphone can only be tracked to a “vicinity”. There’s comfort in knowing little ones could dial 911, without having to give an exact address, and authorities can still know where to go. I hope this helps!
Just at the Old School festival today! Thank you Ben and Erin for your great work in saving childhood! We need this so urgently. Screen Strong is a great place to get educated on the dangers of screens on kids brains. Osprey is what makes raising kids without the toxic screens possible! We’ve got this!
